What is Collaborative Divorce?

A collaborative divorce occurs when spouses are able to work out an agreement without going to divorce court.  One of our newer professionals, Maria Fergus is specializing in this new category of divorce consultation.
Maria stated:  I really like this type of engagement especially when there are children involved.  Too many times a traditional divorce can be stressful and combative for families.  Those involved in Collaborative Divorce come to the table using cooperative techniques and not adversarial strategies and litigation.  Everyone agrees to make a best effort to reach a negotiated outcome.  It’s better for the Husband and Wife, it’s better for the children involved.
All of the experts retained in the process are committed to manage the conflict, emotional issues and relationship issues creatively.
